Xcape & Rage San Diego

Xcape & Rage San Diego has four themed rage rooms in Hillcrest: Show Room, VIP Room, Destruction Den and a blacklight Blackout Room. A standard session gives each person up to 20 minutes and a crate of about 15 to 20 breakables, a choice of tools, a punching bag and tires. Add-on glass and furniture packages are sold online. A strict dress code applies and outside items aren't allowed.

Started in Fresno, California and expanded to San Diego. Described as minority and Navy veteran owned. Also runs an escape room called Murder in the Woods.

Items on offer include glass, ceramics, furniture, other breakables, tires and human-like punching bag.

Tools provided: baseball bat, war club, hammer, crowbars and mallets.

Protective gear supplied by the venue: safety gear and pantsuits on request in unisex sizes S-XXL.

What to wear: closed-toe shoes (no sandals or Crocs), long-sleeve top and full-length no-hole pants or jeans.

Your own items: Outside items not allowed due to regulations, safety and disposal. Printed paper photos can be taped onto items.
